Thailand Women gained their second win in Group B of  the Asia Qualifier for the next T20 World Cup as they beat China by nine wickets

A decade ago China were favourites to win the Asia Qualifier before they were defeated byThailand and Thai women’s cricket has not looked back since that point.

China won the toss and elected to bat but Chanida Sutthiruang hit the stumps with the first ball of the match and Nattaya Boochatham took two more wickets for just two runs.

Player of the matc thoughh was young fast bowler Phannita Maya who took a career best 3 for 10 in her 4 overs as China slipped to 20 for 9.

Yuangyuan Cai hit three fours in four balls but China were bowled out for 35 in 12.3 overs.

Thailand reached their target of 36 in eight overs for the loss of one wicket and one more victory will take them once again into the semi-finals.
