Thailand Women have started their latest T20 World Cup qualifying campaign by playing in the 11 team Asia Qualifier held in Malaysia.

The top two teams will reach the Global Qualifier and all has started well for Thailand as they defeated Myanmar by 100 runs at Bayumas Oval.

Natthakan Chantham played a solid innings of 54* from 61 balls with 4 fours and shared a partnership of 52 with Chanida Sutthiruang to take Thailand to 121 for 4 in 20 overs.

The Thailand spinners then bowled extremely accurately to restrict Myanmar to 21 for 9 as Nattaya Boochatham took 5 for 5 in her 4 overs.

This was the first time she has taken five wickets in T20Is and she now has 96 wickets. She was named player of the match in a convincing victory for Thailand.
