THAILAND WILL PLAY SAUDI ARABIA IN THE FINAL OF THE QUADRANGULAR

Thailand beat Maldives by eight wickets in the third round of matches in the Thailand Quadrangular. The hosts will now face Saudi Arabia in tomorrow’s final.

Thailand asked Maldives to bat first and the visitors reached 39 for 1 in six overs. Nopphon Senamontree claimed two wickets and Wiraphan Ngowhuad took a wicket on his debut.

Maldives reached 79 for 4 before Nopphon took his third wicket and Maldives collapsed badly at the end as they were bowled out for 105 in 18.3 overs.

Thailand raced to victory thanks to Akshay Yadav who made Thailand’s highest individual score as he hit T9 not out in 40 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes.

Thailand will face a stiff test against Saudi Arabia in tomorrow’s final as KSA are looking for their third win in the league stages.
