Thailand faced Malaysia in a 50-over match in the SEA Games but came off second best as they were beaten by seven wickets.
Malaysia have been playing in the ACC Premier Cup while Thailand couldn’t progress from the Challenge Cup but it was a one-sided contest.
Thailand were bowled out for 78 in 26 overs and Malaysia needed only 10.3 overs to reach their target so the match was over by 10am local time.
The two sides meet again tomorrow in a T20 match and Thailand also face Malaysia in the Women’s T20 competition.
