Austin Lazarus has created an unbelievable victory for Thailand as they finished third in the Challenger Cup by beating Indonesia in the super- over.after scores were tied on 186.
Austin Lazarus had hit a powerful 94 from 48 balls as he shared a brilliant partnership of 141 for the third wicket with Akshay Yadav who made 63 to take Thailand to 186 for 4.
Outstanding spells from the Thailand spinners looked enough to secure victory but Danielson Hawoe had other ideas as he sent the ball sailing over the boundary on many occasions
Nine wickets down and three runs needed, Lazarus brought himself on to bowl the last over and he bowled Hawoe for 77 from 29 balls as Indonesia lost their 10th wicket with the score on 186..
The match would be decided by a super-over and it was a one-man show as Lazarus took 2 for 11 in 5 balls and then hit 11 runs off three balls as Thailand overcame 11-2 with 12-0.
Thailand had finished third in the Challenger Cup after an amazing individual performance from their captain.
Malaysia beat Singapore by six wickets in the final but what a win for Thailand.
