ACC U-19 Women’s Championship 2012 being hosted in Kuwait from 1st to 10 February 2012 is a much awaited tournament. Women’s cricket in Thailand has proportionally increased over the last 3 years. CAT conducted another successful training camp with 25 girls from different provinces across Thailand. With the success of the women’s team in the past 2 years, many girls have joined school teams and have taken interest.

The camp consisted of girls ranging from 15 to 17 years old primarily grass root players whom CAT aims to develop continuously even after the tournament. The camp continues in Doi-Saket, Chiang-mai in CAT’s new facility consisting of skills, short games and fitness. ACC certified and current senior women’s national players Sornarrin Tippoch and Nattaya Boochatham are running the camp. Esteem is high within the team and strict training schedules have brought unity within the team aiming to win this year’s U-19 ACC tournament.
