The Cricket Association of Thailand (CAT) today announced the appointment of former International Cricket Council (ICC) senior executive, Tim Anderson, as a Strategic Advisor.

Anderson will support CAT across a variety of strategy development and implementation areas both internationally and domestically.

Cricket Association of Thailand, Director of Cricket, Shan Kader said, “We are delighted Tim will be working with us on the next stage of cricket’s development in Thailand. He has a unique set of skills, brings substantial experience in the international cricket industry and has been a friend of Thailand Cricket for many years.”

Mr Anderson said, “Having played in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2020 and by achieving Women’s ODI status in 2022, Thailand has been a shining light amongst ICC Associate Members for many years. It is therefore an honour to have the opportunity to work with the CAT team on the next phase of their evolution.”

The ICC recently awarded Thailand co-hosting rights – with Malaysia – for the 2025 U/19 Women’s T20 World Cup. Star player, Natthakan Chantham, will also feature in the inaugural Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) auction to be held on 13 February, 2023.
