Thailand’s girls held their nerve to beat Indonesia by 31 runs after scoring 101 for 9 in the first semi-final.

Remarkably UAE and Nepal were both bowled out for exactly 100 in the second semi-final but UAE won the super-over.

Aphisara Suwanchanthi was dismissed for 27 which was her lowest score of the tournament but it was still enough for her to win a fourth player of the match award as she also claimed a brilliant catch and a run out.

The key to Thailand’s victory was the great effort by the lower-order to get their side to a total of 101 from a position of 69 for 7.

The Thai spinners then all bowled superbly to restrict Indonesia to just 70 and the girls were fantastic in the field.

The best complement that could be given was that it was just like watching the senior team with an array of accurate spinners and a display of brilliance in the field.

The Thailanf under 19s can now emulate the senior team by beating UAE in the final to win the ACC Women’s U19 Premier Cup.

The final starts at 1pm on Saturday afternoon and should be a great occasion for both teams.
