THAILAND START WELL IN GLOBAL QUALIFIER

Thailand beat Nepal by eight wickets to make a perfect start to the global qualifier for the next women’s T20 World Cup.

Nepal had reached 50 without losing a wicket inside the first six overs but 4 for 27 from the incredible Thipatcha Putthawong meant that Nepal were bowled out for 122 in 20 overs.

New opener Aphisara Suwanchonrati showed her potential with 28 but it was Natthakan Chantham  who again impressed with an unbeaten 57 from 39 balls with 9 fours and a six.

Thailand made a great start by winning by eight wickets with 3.1 overs to spare.

Thailand play Zimbabwe in their second match after Zimbabwe lost to Netherlands by 22 runs.
