THAILAND BRUSHED ASIDE BY IRELAND TO END A DISAPPOINTING CAMPAIGN
Thailand have finished the global qualifier for the women’s T20 world cup on a disappointing note as they lost to Ireland by 62 runs
Leg-spinner Suleeporn Laomi took 4 for 24 as Ireland made 121 for 8 but Thailand were bowled out for just 59 as they finished last in the Super Six of the global qualifier
Bangladesh and Netherlands were joined by Ireland and Scotland as the four qualifiers for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England but at least Thailand have the ACC Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament to look forward to.
