THAILAND MEN REACH FINAL OF ASIA PACIFIC CRICKET CHAMPIONS TROPHY
June 29, 2026
Thailand are one of 13 teams from around Asia who will be taking part in the inaugural ACC Women’s U19 Premier Cup as the Asian Cricket Council continue to provide outstanding opportunities for female cricketers in the T20 format of the game
Thailand are drawn in a group with Myanmar and Japan with the top two teams in the four groups qualifying for the quarter-finals as all 13 teams have a chance to reach the ACC Women’s U19 Asia Cup.
Thailand U19s will be looking to match the achievement of the senior women’s team who recently won the ACC Women’s Premier Cup in Malaysia beating UAE in the final.
The top four teams in the senior event were Thailand, UAE, Indonesia and Hong Kong, China and these four countries should all have strong teams at junior level
Nepal and Malaysia both competed well in the 2025 ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup also held in Malaysia so the battle for places at the ACC Women’s U19 Asia Cup will be fierce.
This should be a fantastic tournament with a host of talented young women making the most of a series of competitive matches over the next week.
Play gets underway on Saturday 11th July with Thailand facing Myanmar at 1pm in their opening match. The final is scheduled for exactly a week later and Thailand will be striving hard to win a place in that final.
