THAILAND BEAT HONG KONG AFTER RAIN RELENTS

The morning match between Bhutan and Malaysia had been abandoned without a ball bowled with the ground not fit for play, but the sun came out in the afternoon and conditions improved enough for Thailand and Hong Kong to play a 12-over match. Thailand lost an early wicket but Naruemol Chaiwai and Nattaya Boochatham shared a second wicket partnership of 55 as Naruemol made 23 and Nattaya 25. Maiko Hill took two for 15 but Thailand reached 85 for 4 in their 12 overs. Hong Kong were soon struggling as they lost four wickets for 16 as Chaninda Sutthiruang again bowled well with the new ball. Hong Kong finished on 47 for 7 as Thailand won by 38 runs and the home team look to be in a strong position in the table with three wins in three matches. Hong Kong are still looking for their first win after losing all three matches
