UNBEATEN INDONESIA SURPISED BY TANZANIA

The match played on Saturday afternoon was a great contrast to the excitement of the morning as Indonesia were looking to build on their record of two wins so far in the competition. It wasn’t to be as they were bowled out for just 26 by Tanzania. Zena Hassan took 4 for 7 and Tanzania reached their target in just 8.1 overs for the loss of just two wickets. The African side moved into second place in the table behind Thailand who will face Indonesia on Sunday afternoon.

HONG KONG BEAT MALAYSIA IN SUPER-OVER

The most exciting match of the competition was played out on Saturday morning by the two teams without a win in their first three matches. Hong Kong batted first and would have been pleased with their total of 119 for 2 in 20 overs as Yasmin Daswani hit an unbeaten 26, but Malaysia also gave their best display of batting so far thanks to Christina Baret who made 44 not out but she couldn’t quite see her side home and the match was tied with scores level after Malaysia finished on 119 for 3. The two teams then played out a one-over decider with Malaysia batting first but it was Hong Kong who took the points after a splendid morning’s cricket.
